comScore Announces Official Worldwide Box Office Results for Weekend of October 9, 2016

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- comScore (NASDAQ: SCOR) today announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of October 9, 2016, as compiled by the company's theatrical measurement services.

comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Fox's 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' leads the way in its second weekend with $57.5 million, thus bringing the Tim Burton directed fantasy to a global total of $145.1 million.  Opening this weekend, Universal's 'The Girl on the Train' takes second place with a worldwide debut of $41.2 million."
