comScore Announces Official Worldwide Box Office Results for Weekend of September 18, 2016

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- comScore (NASDAQ: SCOR) today announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of September 18, 2016, as compiled by the company's theatrical measurement services.

comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Universal's 'Bridget Jones's Baby' opened in 39 territories along with the U.S. and Canada this weekend with a worldwide total of $38.1 million and in the process posted the biggest romantic comedy opening weekend ever in the U.K. with $11.3 million.  Meanwhile, Warner Bros.' 'Sully' continues to land big grosses adding another $29 million globally this weekend and brings its total to $93.94 million to date."
